Overview - The Resumption
After several key changes in the off season the Black Vegetables were successful in their
first outing for the new season, totally reeking of kymmyosity. The BV won 79 to 35 over Timeeey. Field rotation worked well
in uncovering hidden talents from the team. Glynne managed to lose the plot while watching
the batting on several occaisions.
Game Analysis
Glynne Fiveash
Glynne batted superbly although he was bowled while trying to play what he called a "safe shot" which as far
as cross bat shots probably was. Glynne bowled only a small amount of wides to record credible figures.. His
wicket keeping was better than even he beleived possible.
Avatar
Best innings with the bat to date. Bowled better with umpiring decisions unusually going his way.
Fielded reasonably well except for a few lapses back into his insubstantial form. Tried to stop the ball
with his head while wicket keeping which did not work well. A brillant bit of fiel ding with his leg has left
a bruise and an attempt to catch some of Kymmys' pedestrian like deliveries being belted back did not do
hios thumb much good.
Anthony
Anthony has improved enormously over the last season and carried his good form onwards with a credible batting
score and excellent bowling. Unusually seen out in the regular field he did not dissapoint. Still does not
understand that GMC stands for "Giant Metal Chickens".
Donna Fiveash
Donna lapsed into a comatose state and paid the penalty bu getting out, the rest of the team paid as well
by having to listen to Glynne rant and rave!!! There is a very simple equation Children Present = Donna Fail,
No Children Present = Donna Pass. Bowling was great with an overall bowling return of zero (so according to Kymmy
Donna did not bowl)
Kymmy!!!!
Kymmy!!! lost it in the field and tried to blame his fielders for his own pedestrian like pace that was
carted all over the park. Even in his last over where the speedster Shoiab Van Der Wellie was seen did he look
like being successful, and if it wasnt for 2 run outs he would have been carted again. Batted stylishly
with newcomer Peter althoug in the last two overs Peter only saw the ball twice.
Big Gav
Big Gav punished the opposition in his second over and also pulled off the bast fielding effort by positioning
himself perfectly so a ball thrown at his legs bounced off in to the stumps and ran the batsman out. Then
we come to batting, Big Gav and Defensive Strokes do not see eye to eye. Big Gav certainly likes to expose
his stumps, lean back and play the odds. Unfortunately they are rarely on his side.
Micheal
Michael did well with the ball gatting a -11 of one over. He continues to excell in the field although Peter
will give him a run for his money. Batted well but was cruely run out on the last ball. As with Peter he
only saw the ball twice in the last two overs.
Peter
Peter seemed like a veteran as harrased the opposition batsmen with clever fielding. His bowling was devastating
and his batting (when Kymmy!! let him face) was solid. As an allrounder he was the best.
