Overview - The Resumption
A huge triumph for the Black Vegetables. Peter seemed to be concerned that the centre management elevate us up
2 grades even though there was only one above us. Glynne managed to stay calm for the match although he
was very talkative at the start (can anyone understand what he was saying?)
Game Analysis
Glynne Fiveash
Glynne batted poorly in the first over he faced but then when on to blitz everyone with an equal game high
27, he hit 2 sevens in the last over he faced. Glynne was lucky not to get out on the first ball when he hooked a
ball up into the rafters, but it got stuck. At fielding Glynne was less than electric, in fact at one point
he was positively limboboistic. His bowling was steady but finished bottom of the heap with 1 for 11.
Avatar
Got into double figures but generally failed to hit the side net to really build his score up. Bowled
with a good line but failed to capture a wicket.
GMC Anthony
Anthony's utter contempt for the bowlers continued with an equal high score of 27. Fielded well and apart from
the first over bowled with cunning.
Dan Fiveash
One DFive was replaced with another. Dan batted quite well to only get out once and bolster the rampaging
GMC Anthony. Managed to bowl one of the opposition batsman and bowl 3 dot balls in his first over.
Kymmy!!!!
Kymmy!!! is struggling with the fielding that is not up to what it was in the old vegetables team. No speedy
Steve Mac diving on the ball and no eagle like Hross swooping on anything that moves. Unfortnuately for Kymmy!!
he is his own worst enemy, dropped catch up close that was a sitter, bungled attempt to stop a ball that raced
to the back net and bowling balls that were generally sent back as exocet missiles. Amongst all of that he
did sneak in two beatiful Kimsras that bowled the opposition and also knocked up a handy 16.
Big "If Ya Smell What I Am Cookin" Gav
Big Gav persists in the notion that if you go for the big hit often enough you will eventually (God only knows
when) hit a good number of them. Big Gav bowled a couple of dodgy balls but other than that was on the money.
Micheal
Michael showed uncharacteristic disciple to not get out once and was rewarded with 17. He continues to be a
major threat when fielding, taking a good catch of the net. Hi sbowling was generally tight with a few wickets.
Peter
Peter when he hit the ball managed to build up a solid score of 18. He continued to field well and rates
with Michael as one of the best fielders in the team. His overall bowling was very effective with the
opposition batsman only getting a good score of one ball.
