Overview - The Resumption

Once again Glynne leaves the team and lets us lose!  It was a convincing loss 116 to 67.  At the last minute Gregs son Dylan was forced to play after Gerrit "No Show" failed to turn up.  Peter after sending a note assuring he would be there seemed genuinely surprised and announced that he must not be turning up!!  Of course we could have had Hadrian playing but Kymmy!! did not ask him until he already found something else to do (yet again!!).  The Brothers of Destruction batted first in an innings that will long be remembered.

Game Analysis

Big "If Ya Smell What I Am Cookin" Gav

Gavstheman Ul Haq achieved the equal highest score for the innings with a chanceless 15.  Heard to remark later how without the pressure of batting last he was able to play defensive shots and concentrate on what he was doing.  This seemed to be nonsense as surely without pressure he should be going for the tonk like normal.  Kymmy!!! in a daring psychological move had announced to the opposition several times that we would be trying to win the middle two skins and to let the "Brothers" go at it.  They almost pulled of an incredible skin win.  Bowling is starting to falter but was quite skillful in keeping the ball off the net on several occassions.

Michaelmon

Did not get out once, reached double figures with the bat and was in the highest partnership for our team.  Mickeymon should be very happy.  His bowling is improving but struggled behind the stumps.  The team misses his explosive fielding in the mid field area.

Anthony (no GMC added)

Had a very successful night with tight bowling (including a last over of 0 for 5) and good fielding at the back stumps.  Along with Big Gavstheman he got the highest score for our team with 15.  Seemed relatively composed throughout the match even though Glynne believed he had a similar verbal problem to himself.

Peter

Had almost as many runs hit of him this match than his other 5 combined.  It was a dark day for Peter and his bowling.  His batting reflected a man out of form who having been brought into the team by Glynne was feeling betrayed that Glynne had abandoned the team in its our of need yet again!!!!

Avatar

Adopted some Big Gav like tactics when batting and was rewarded with the appropriate result of being bowled twice?  Kymmy!! tried to get him to bowl to a left hander while the Avatar stared back at Kymmy!! with an incredulous look.  Bowled reasonably well and with a good deal more control than the previous weeks effort.

Greg Goodsell

Struggled with the bat as tried to adapt to the indoor environment.  On the field he effected a run out and was the pick on the bowlers with figures of 1 for 8.  may well end up joining the team for the remainder  of the season with GMC Anthony suspending himself.

Kymmy!!

Kymmy batted like a lost man without Donna to guide him..  He got Dylan and himself into all sorts of problems running between wickets.  With the ball he was good and seems to be able to tune out and produce the goods in recent weeks with the ball.  In the field he was caught day dreaming at one point when the ball rolled past him and several moments later when the batsman started to run he woke up and pointed at the ball for Big Gav to come in and field.  Even he had to laugh at basically being caught with his pants down!!  A typically Kymmy! moment of captaincy occurred when he told Greg he was bowling second to the new pair and when Peter enquired who was bowling first Kymmy! said Greg.  That left a few of us wondering what Kymmy!! was on?

Dylan Goodsell

Batting with Kymmy! is difficult and Dylan found out why when 3 run outs occurred.  His bowling was great where apart from two no balls at the start, no batsman got more than a run of each ball he bowled..
