Kainem Oryp - The Beginning

Kainem Oryp was born 300 years ago to a small community of Fire Elves that lived on the rocky mountains of Torhedros. Like others of his kind Kainem resembled a Dark Elf and hence avoided contact with other races. The Fire Elves worshipped the god Ariensul who was the god of fire. Kainem was no different and trained to become a fire mage like so many of his tribe desired to be. The effects of training with fire left a premanent mark on Kainem's body so that most of it looks as if it has been seared by flame, although with his dark colour this can be difficult to see.

All Fire Elves can construct a mixture that they apply to all their possesions to limit the effect of fire on their possesions. In fact even a fireballs devastating power can be limited by this mixture. However if any possesion has a reasonable amount of water applied the mixture is nullified. Those Fire Elves adept at fire spells who regularly cleanse themeselves do so with all their possesions attached as the mixture prevents those normally flammable possesions from catching fire.

Kainem regularly cleanses himself using Diery's Firey Cube. Kainem had planned to spend his life in the Torhedros, dedicating himeself to the one true flame in the hope of one day achieving a place on the elemental plane of fire. Kainems dream was temporarily put on hold when a disturbance was noted in the One Flame. The first law of magic had been rediscovered and the ramifications for Ariensul were significant. Kainem was told by the High Priest Grashel to travel and join the group of adventurers that had found the first law. Arrangements were made for Kainem to join the wizards guild and Kainem was given a small crystal pendant that held a vision of the One Flame. This would enable Kainem to stay in contact with High Prist Grashel at all times.

Furthermore Kainem used his Find Familiar spell to bond with a Flame Dragonnet to further aid his quest for knowledge concerning the 5 laws of magic. Kainem had to ensure that the Laws were not used to enslave but rather free magic users from any tryanny. Fire cannot be ensalved.
