This inexperienced band of adventurers took on the problem with unheralded zeal for village problems. The party interviewed several of the villages who knew something about what had happened. All the leads pointed to a massive ogre like creature that could pulverise reinforced solid steel blast walls with a single flex. The Lord Staffa raised our spirits by saying 'My armour isn't steel, it's plate! So lets get out there and charge!!'. The could have spent months out in the wilderness looking for 'THE BONECUSHER CREATURE' but Virgil could track a gas leak from a flea from over a mile away. Needless to say we found the expected lair of 'THE BONECUSHER CREATURE' at a small hill. DeWinter led the assault up the hill but near the top Shann stopped and started talking to herself. The party wondered what was going on but decided to proceed anyway. They found 'THE BONECUSHER CREATURE' not much further on in a cave and could clearly identify a small girl behind it who appeared to be in some form of communication with Shann. DeWinter took charge of the situation and to cut short story even shorter we got back to the village, made the creature fix the damage it had done, found out its name (Bolg) and the girls name (Gil), they joined our merry band and we set of for Hillsfar to seek fame and fortune in New Phlan Town.
A magic-user named Rolarve joined the party at some stage in the journey to Hillsfar. The party also joined up with John Elway, a cleric who was having his butt kicked until by some Kobolds (of all things) until we showed up. We made Hillsfar and then took ship to New Phlan Town which was a rocky ride for some of us. Upon arrival we checked out the council chambers for news of what we could do. The council almost fell over backwards that such a well disciplined band of adventurers would offer to help them out. Our first mission was to clear the Western Suburbs of the riffraff that lived there.
Bolg managed to frighten most things off and what he didn't Staffa and Co. made short work of. The party recovered a magic shortsword and a magic cloak as well as a scroll with a cleric spell on it. Some weapons and money was also taken as the previous owners would not be needing that stuff anymore. Mikita was unfortunately incapacitated by a poison dart while attempting to open a lock on a chest. Back at the Inn DeWinter cruelly defaced Mikita with makeup while the rest of the party sat around. Mikita when no longer incapacitated leapt up to attack DeWinter but Shann enveloped the area in darkness and DeWinter escaped. Mikita cooled down after a while and accepted DeWinters apology as well as one from Lord Staffa about not guarding Mikita properly and promising to protect Mikita from future harm.
Gil & Bolg left the party after these episodes for fun and sun elsewhere. The next series of adventures saw Rolarve decapitated by Staffa during a fierce combat with Hobgoblins. Rolarve, who was very ugly (and looks even uglier now) was mistaken by Staffa for a Hobgoblin and dispatched accordingly. Only later did Staffa realise what he had done and sought penance on his return to the city. Staffa on further reflection named his sword "Rolarve" out of respect for the slain magic user. The party was starting to earn some respect with the clearing out of So Cool keep.
The party knew it had to bolster its flagging numbers with DeWinter struck down by a psychotic disease. The party recruited Tohr Down the Magnificent from the local adventure's guild. The party next ventured to the Library to recover information on the old city of Phlan. A Basilisk got the better on Virgil and Staffa but the rest of the party finished the evil creature off and recovered volumes of books. The party were now becoming veritable superstars and were accorded rights accordingly with there own council supplied accommodation. The party went on to liberate Podog plaza and Kuto's Well.
The next service the party was to perform for the council was to retrieve some items from the textile house and clear out the area there. To do this the council supplied and experienced guard named Tarrasque and the party joined forces with a Druid called Wynter who was also seeking to help the council in this matter. John Elway changed his name to Gratian. The party recovered the goods and returned to town. Tarrasque returned to his normal duties and Wynter caught the same virus that DeWinter had caught and died from.
The party next mission was to clear out the graveyard and find out what had happened to some of the council missions previously sent there. A fighter called Pneumonia joined the party and instantly raised the level of morale as this guy looked tough. The party dispatched numerous undead and Pneumonia carved a niche in history and the most efficient fighting machine seen since Staff fought the Hobgoblins. The party failed in locating the evil controlling force in the graveyard and left for a tournament that Lord Staffa was expected to dominate.
The tournament was not attended by Pneumonia who was struck down by Wynter's virus. Staffa annihilated all comers at the tournament including an evil spectral like being. The party returned to New Phlan town basking in the mighty Lord Staffa's presence.
The next series of assaults on the graveyard proved successful with the evil vampyre killed and disposed off, although the party lost control of itself sometimes. With the graveyard cleared the party was asked to locate and rectify the problem of pollution in the river. A cut down version of what happened is the party was we found the source of pollution, got trapped in a maze, split into groups, joined together, found an evil wizard, killed him, destroyed the pollution making device and returned to the city as heroes.
The next thrust of the party's objectives was to clear out the evil clerics of Bane who resided in the former wealthy area of the old city of Phlan
