Rare piece of Australiana .The inscription reads:-
" THE ROYAL AGRICULTURAL SOCIETY OF VIC. ROYAL SHOW 1953 THE DOCTOR R.M.KINROSS MEMORIAL GOBLET PRESENTED BY GUERNSEY CATTLE SOCIETY OF AUSTRALIA (FEDERAL COUNCIL) CHAMPION GUERNSEY COW EVERMORE TIDY GIRL EXHIBITED BY R.G.WATSON. The heavily Silver plated trophy is of bold Art Deco form and was made by Angus and Coote one of Australia's leading Silversmith firms.It is in perfect condition!. Size :- 8" High X 6" Wide. This is a wonderful piece of Australian history ,especialy of the Dairy Cattle Industry and the Royal Easter Show .It will enhance any collection as it is a fine display item. |
