Fantastic porcelain Majolica Monkey pipe rest made at Sitzendorf, Thuringia, Germany most probably in the early 20th century.The monkey concentrating on a hand of cards, is deep in thought and has a pipe in the corner of its mouth. In perfect condition with no chips cracks or repairs. Marked with crown S 25040 Size :- 4½" deep X 3¾" wide X 3½"High. A fun piece that would go with any smoking or majolica collection or just a great piece to use for the serious pipe smoker. |
